Details of Traxus Tree Unlock Service
Traxus is Marathon's weapons faction. CyberAcme handles your vault and economy. NuCaloric keeps you alive. MIDA arms you with grenades and gadgets. Traxus is the one that puts better guns in your hands – and more importantly, gives you consistent Armory access to weapon mods you'd otherwise be praying to find as world drops.
VULCAN runs Traxus contracts, and they're combat-focused: retrieving weapons, securing weapon crates, engaging UESC forces for salvage. These aren't the passive material runs you get from CyberAcme. Traxus wants you fighting, looting guns, and bringing them back alive. Good runs stack reputation fast. Bad runs cost you everything you carried in.
Getting from Rank 1 to Rank 26 plus VIP takes sustained extraction success with Traxus contracts equipped – one contract per deployment, same as every faction. But Traxus has 26 purchasable nodes plus a VIP node, and the material costs escalate hard past Rank 15.
Why Armory Mod Access Changes Everything
Here's the thing about Marathon weapon mods – you can find them in the world, sure. Random drops from containers, enemy kills, zone objectives. But "random" is the key word. You might run 10 extractions and never see the specific SMG mod or Precision mod you need for your build. Traxus removes that randomness entirely.
Each mod tier – Enhanced, then Deluxe – adds rotating mod options to your Armory that you buy with credits. No RNG, no hoping for drops, no losing a mod because you died before extracting. Once a mod node is unlocked, those mods are available for purchase every run for the rest of the season. That's the real value of Traxus Faction Boosting – it converts unpredictable loot into reliable purchases.
Same goes for weapons. Enhanced Bully SMG, Enhanced M77 AR, Enhanced V22 Volt Thrower, Enhanced Longshot Sniper, Enhanced V66 Lookout, Enhanced Hardline PR – all locked behind specific Traxus ranks. Without the tree, you're relying entirely on world spawns and hoping you extract with them. With Traxus maxed, you walk into every run knowing exactly what's available in your Armory.
Traxus Material Costs
Ten different materials rotate across the tree, which is more variety than any other faction:
Unstable Gunmetal – Deimosite Rods – Altered Wire – Anomalous Wire – Plasma Filament – Cetinite Rods – Tachyon Filament – Predictive Framework – Ballistic Turbine – Reflex Coil – Alien Alloy
Low-rank nodes eat Unstable Gunmetal almost exclusively. Mid-rank shifts to Deimosite Rods and Altered Wire combinations. By Rank 18+, you're farming Predictive Framework, Tachyon Filament, and Ballistic Turbine from harder zones. Endgame nodes at Rank 22+ demand Alien Alloy – one of the rarest materials in the game, shared across multiple faction trees.
That material spread is exactly why Traxus grinding takes so long even if your rank is high enough. Having the reputation doesn't matter if you can't afford the node.

Capstones
Capstones unlock automatically as you purchase nodes from the main tree. You don't pick these – they activate sequentially at node milestones:

- II – Treasure_Hunter: Increases faction reputation gained from Traxus treasures by 20%. Speeds up the grind for everything that follows.
- III – Sponsorship [Traxus] (15 nodes): Unlocks Traxus Advanced Sponsored Kit for Armory purchase. Traxus barters wares for certain Superior Salvage.
- IV – Bonus Mod (20 nodes): Traxus standard contracts award a bonus weapon mod on top of other rewards. Free mods just for completing contracts.

Traxus vs Other Factions
Traxus fills a role nothing else covers. CyberAcme makes your economy work. NuCaloric keeps you breathing. MIDA gives you grenades and movement. But none of them put actual weapons and weapon mods into your Armory the way Traxus does.
If you're running into fights with whatever you happened to find on the ground, you're gambling every deployment. A runner with CyberAcme maxed for vault space and Traxus maxed for Armory weapons walks into every match with a loadout they chose, modded the way they want, purchased for credits instead of luck. That combination is what separates consistent extractors from players who die because their gun wasn't up to the task.
Players who prefer aggressive, PvP-heavy playstyles should pair Traxus with MIDA's grenade and movement tree for a full combat kit. Traxus gives you the guns; MIDA gives you area denial and Agility to close gaps.
How It Works
- Pick your nodes – Select individual Traxus upgrades from the checkbox list or grab the full tree. Add rank progression if you need reputation ranks raised before node purchases.
- Hand over access – Provide login credentials through order chat for piloted service. Our runner confirms your current Traxus standing and maps out which contracts and materials are needed.
- Contract grinding + material farming – Our runners deploy with Traxus contracts active, completing VULCAN's combat and retrieval objectives while farming Unstable Gunmetal, Deimosite Rods, Altered Wire, and higher-tier materials. Reputation builds through completed contracts and successful extractions.
- Nodes purchased, everything kept – Selected upgrades get purchased once rank requirements are met. All gear, credits, and materials earned during the process stay on your account.
Why LevelUpper for Traxus Grinding
- 10 material types across one tree: Traxus has the widest material spread in Marathon. Our runners know which zones drop Predictive Framework, Ballistic Turbine, and Reflex Coil efficiently instead of farming blind across every map hoping for the right materials.
- Combat contracts play to our strengths: Traxus objectives involve fighting – securing weapons, engaging UESC, retrieving gear from contested zones. Our runners handle high-threat extractions where less experienced players would lose their kit and waste the run.
- 1800+ ratings across 20+ games including extraction shooters. Manual gameplay only – no scripts, no automation.
- Multi-faction stacking per deployment: Traxus materials overlap with zones where CyberAcme and MIDA resources spawn. Our runners stack contracts from multiple factions per run, progressing Traxus rep alongside whatever else your account needs.
FAQ
What is Traxus in Marathon?
Traxus is one of six factions on Tau Ceti IV and Marathon's dedicated weapons-and-mods faction. Their AI handler VULCAN assigns combat-oriented contracts involving weapon retrieval, UESC engagement, and salvage operations. Traxus upgrades unlock weapon mods across every category – SMG, AR, Volt, Precision, and Sniper – plus direct Enhanced and Deluxe weapon purchases from the Armory.
What weapons does the Traxus tree unlock?
Six Enhanced weapons become available through the tree: Enhanced Bully SMG (Rank 10), Enhanced V66 Lookout (Rank 18), Enhanced M77 AR (Rank 14), Enhanced V22 Volt Thrower SMG (Rank 15), Enhanced Longshot Sniper Rifle (Rank 20), and Enhanced Hardline PR (Rank 12). Capstone V at 25 nodes also unlocks Deluxe weapons for Armory purchase.
What materials do Traxus upgrades cost?
Traxus has the widest material spread in the game with 11 different resources required: Unstable Gunmetal, Deimosite Rods, Altered Wire, Anomalous Wire, Plasma Filament, Cetinite Rods, Tachyon Filament, Predictive Framework, Ballistic Turbine, Reflex Coil, and Alien Alloy. Low-rank nodes mostly cost Unstable Gunmetal. High-rank nodes demand Alien Alloy, which is shared across multiple faction trees and is hard to farm consistently.
Should I level Traxus before CyberAcme?
CyberAcme should come first for most players because vault rows and credit wallet capacity affect literally everything else you do in Marathon. But Traxus is a strong second pick – especially if you're tired of deploying with random ground loot. Once your economy is set through CyAc, Traxus gives you the actual firepower to match.
How many ranks does Traxus have?
Standard ranks go up to 26, with VIP rank unlocking after reaching endgame standing. VIP gives access to Deluxe Chips – the final node in the tree. Including VIP, Traxus has 27 purchasable nodes and 6 capstones that unlock automatically at node milestones.
What are Traxus capstones?
Capstones are bonus perks that trigger automatically as you purchase nodes. Six total, earned sequentially. Standout ones are Proficient (ROOK starts with an Enhanced weapon after just 5 nodes), Bonus Mod (free weapon mod from every standard contract at 20 nodes), Deluxe Weapons (Deluxe guns in Armory at 25 nodes), and Superior Mods (highest-tier mods plus Prestige barter access at 28 nodes).
Do Traxus upgrades reset every season?
All faction reputation, ranks, and purchased upgrades reset when a new season starts. Every weapon mod tier, every Enhanced gun purchase, every capstone perk – gone. Our Traxus Faction Boost compresses what would take weeks of VULCAN contracts into a fraction of the time, and that matters when you're rebuilding your entire Armory every few months.
What's the difference between Enhanced and Deluxe weapon mods?
Enhanced mods are the base upgraded tier – better than standard world-drop mods with improved stat rolls. Deluxe mods are a step above with higher stat ceilings and additional perk possibilities. Enhanced mod nodes unlock starting at Rank 1; Deluxe mod nodes start appearing at Rank 18 for SMGs, Rank 20 for Volt, Rank 22 for ARs, and Rank 25 for Precision weapons.
