CyberAcme Faction Upgrade Tree Service
CyberAcme is the first faction available in Marathon the game and the one most players should max before anything else. While other factions specialize – NuCaloric into shields, Traxus into weapon mods, Arachne into PvP damage – CyAc gives you baseline power that makes every run smoother.
More vault space means extracting more loot per session. Higher credit wallet means actually affording Armory purchases without hitting the cap. Better heat management means sprinting longer, sliding more, using abilities without locking up mid-fight.
ONI handles your CyAc contracts, and they're some of the most forgiving in Marathon – material retrieval, general tasks, low combat risk. That sounds easy, but getting from Rank 1 to Rank 28 still takes dozens of successful extractions with CyAc contracts equipped. And you can only run one contract per deployment.
Every upgrade node costs credits plus CyberAcme-specific materials. Five materials rotate across the tree:
Unstable Biomass – Unstable Diode – Unstable Gel – Unstable Gunmetal – Unstable Lead
These drop from containers and objectives across Tau Ceti IV's zones. Higher-tier nodes demand rarer drops from harder maps like Outpost and Cryo Archive, which means more dangerous runs with more chances to die and lose everything you're carrying.
List of All Upgrades in Faction Tree
Below is every CyberAcme upgrade organized by the rank required to purchase it. This is what our CyAc Boost covers when you select nodes:

Provides 20 Heat Capacity. Sprint longer, slide more, use abilities without overheating as fast. This is the first thing most players should buy.
- Scavenger.exe 1 (Rank 1) – Requires: 1000 credits.
Provides 20 Loot Speed. Containers open faster, which matters more than it sounds when another squad is pushing your position.
- Firm_Stance.exe 1 (Rank 1) – Requires: 1500 credits.
Provides 20 Fall Resistance. Less damage from drops. Useful for quick escapes off ledges and verticality plays across all maps.

Gain 8 Vault Rows. First of five vault expansions. More storage means more gear saved between runs instead of selling or losing it.

Capstones
Capstones unlock sequentially as you purchase nodes from the main tree. You don't pick these – they activate automatically at node milestones:

- II – Treasure_Hunter: Increased faction reputation from CyAc treasures.
- III – Sponsorship [CyberAcme]: Unlocks CyberAcme Advanced Sponsored Kit for Armory purchase. Free starting loadout option.
- IV – Stipend: ROOK starts runs with bonus credits in addition to basic gear.
- V – Max Looter: Unlocks Superior Backpacks for Armory purchase. Largest available carrying capacity.
- VI – Carrier: ROOK starts every run with a Deluxe Backpack automatically. No purchase needed per run.
Why Level CyAc First?
Community consensus is loud on this one – CyberAcme should be your first maxed faction regardless of shell or playstyle. Vault rows affect how much gear you can hoard between runs. Credit wallet size determines whether you can actually afford Deluxe weapons, backpacks, and key templates from other factions' Armories. Heat stats influence every movement action you take. Loot speed saves seconds per container that compound into minutes per run.
Other factions give you combat edges or survivability. CyberAcme gives you the economic foundation that makes everything else work. Our CyberAcme Faction Boost takes what would be weeks of focused contract grinding and compresses it into a fraction of the time.
Players looking to push other faction trees like NuCaloric, Traxus, or Arachne benefit from having CyAc maxed first – the vault space and credit capacity directly support farming those factions' materials too.
How It Works
- Pick your upgrades – Select individual CyberAcme nodes from the checkbox list, or grab the full tree. Toggle rank progression on if you need reputation ranks raised first.
- Share account details – For piloted, provide login credentials through order chat. For self-play, drop your in-game ID so we can crew up.
- Contract grinding + material farming – Our runners deploy with CyAc contracts, farming Unstable materials and credits across Tau Ceti IV zones. Reputation builds naturally through completed contracts and successful extractions.
- Nodes purchased, you keep everything – Once rank requirements are met, we buy every selected upgrade node. All gear, credits, and materials earned during the process stay on your account. Updates through order chat.
Why LevelUpper for CyberAcme Grinding
- Contract-stacking from launch week: Our runners deploy with CyAc contracts prioritized alongside complementary faction objectives, maxing reputation per extraction instead of running single-contract sessions.
- Material routing built into every run: Unstable Biomass, Diode, Gel, Gunmetal, and Lead drop from specific zones and containers. Our team knows which maps and routes yield the highest material density for CyAc nodes, reducing wasted runs.
- 1800+ ratings across 20+ games including extraction shooters. Manual gameplay only.
- Extraction genre veterans since Arc Raiders launch (October 2025): Upgrade requires Same death-costs-everything pressure, same discipline. That experience transfers directly to Marathon's contract-extraction loop.
FAQ
What is CyberAcme in Marathon?
CyberAcme is one of six factions on Tau Ceti IV and the first one available when you start playing. Their AI handler ONI manages your contracts, which focus on material retrieval and general tasks with low combat risk. CyAc upgrades revolve around vault size, heat management, loot speed, credit capacity, and Armory weapon access.
What does CyberAcme's upgrade tree give you?
18 purchasable upgrades plus 6 sequential capstones. Stat boosts include +60 heat capacity, +60 loot speed, +60 fall resistance, +30% heat recovery rate, and -40% heat recovery delay. Inventory upgrades add up to +30 vault rows and raise credit wallet capacity to 9970K. Armory unlocks include Enhanced and Deluxe versions of Overrun AR, V11 Punch, and CE Tactical Sidearm plus key templates and backpacks up to Superior tier.
What materials do CyberAcme upgrades cost?
Every node costs credits plus one or more CyberAcme-specific materials: Unstable Biomass, Unstable Diode, Unstable Gel, Unstable Gunmetal, and Unstable Lead. These drop from containers and objectives across Tau Ceti IV. Higher-rank nodes require materials from harder zones like Outpost and Cryo Archive.
How many ranks does CyberAcme have?
Standard ranks go up to 28, with VIP rank unlocking after hitting endgame standing. VIP gives access to three additional upgrades: Slider.exe, Soundproof.exe, and Loose_Change.exe. Reaching max rank requires consistent contract completion and successful extractions over dozens of runs.
Do CyberAcme upgrades reset every season?
All faction reputation, ranks, and purchased upgrades reset when a new season starts. You rebuild from scratch each time. That seasonal reset is exactly why CyberAcme boosting saves so much time – you're not grinding this tree once, you're doing it every few months.
Should I max CyberAcme before other factions?
Most experienced runners agree CyAc should be first. Vault expansion affects how much you can save between runs. Credit wallet capacity determines what you can afford from every faction's Armory. Heat management improves movement across all shells. These are universal benefits that support leveling other factions afterward.
What are CyberAcme capstones?
Capstones are bonus perks that unlock automatically as you purchase nodes from the main upgrade tree. Six total, awarded sequentially at node milestones. Highlights include Bonus Pay for extra contract credits, Sponsorship for a free CyAc starting kit, and Carrier which gives ROOK a Deluxe Backpack at the start of every run.
How long does maxing CyberAcme take?
Reaching Rank 28 plus VIP requires sustained contract grinding across many successful extractions. Bottleneck isn't just reputation – it's farming enough Unstable materials and credits to actually purchase every node. Casual players typically don't finish a single faction tree in one season.
