Details of Marathon Starter Package
Marathon Starter Package covers two requirements that gate every endgame system in the game: Season Level 25 and all 6 factions at Rank 12.
But Level will not make account endgame ready. Factions connected at Rank 1 don't either. Both need to be done, and this is the one order that does both.
What Is Marathon's Max Season Level?
Season level caps at 100. That's where Rewards Pass tops out – SILK cosmetic skin sitting at the ceiling. Most players won't reach it in a single season.
Level that actually changes how you play is 25. That's the threshold for both Cryo Archive and Ranked. Below 25, neither shows as accessible regardless of how much gear you have or how many runs you've logged.
Above 25, leveling continues, but nothing significant is locked to it.
How to Level Up Fast in Marathon
Contracts are main XP source and main bottleneck. One active contract at a time, with rerolls costing credits.
A player cycling bad rerolls – objectives that require backtracking across zones or specific spawns that don't line up with extraction routes – can burn 30–40 minutes in a run making minimal progress.
Fastest approach is to order Starter Bundle from a reputable boosting service like LevelUpper.
Why Rank 12 Across All Factions Makes Starter Pack So Desirable
Six factions at Rank 12, Season Level 25, 30K credits – a complete account ready for everything Marathon's endgame has. Cryo Archive, Ranked, full Armory access across every faction tree – all of it opens at once. Most players build toward this across weeks of play.
Connecting a liaison is just the door open. Rank 1 gets you into the tree. Rank 12 is where it pays off.
Faction nodes are permanent account upgrades – credits and materials spent once, permanent changes to every future run. A Rank 1 account and a Rank 12 account play the same game completely differently. At Rank 12 across all six factions, your account has:
- Anti-Virus Packs purchasable from Armory (MIDA) – required for Cryo Archive runs where virus buildup is unavoidable
- Longshot Sniper Rifle and Enhanced Bully SMG in Armory (Traxus) – consistent access to weapons that otherwise depend on lucky drops
- ARES RG Railgun and WSTR Combat Shotgun available to buy (Arachne) – two more weapons off the RNG table
- 40 total Agility from MIDA's Flex_Matrix nodes – a noticeable movement difference against players who never ranked MIDA
- Free daily Shield Charges and Patch Kits from NuCaloric – zero credits spent on basic survival consumables per day
- Shell cores for every shell in the game from SekGen – Enhanced and Deluxe Cores for Triage, Destroyer, Assassin, Vandal, Recon, and Thief all purchasable
- 270K+ wallet cap above the default from CyberAcme – Rank 12 wallet means your credits never get capped mid-session
- Vault rows expanded by 22 across three CyberAcme nodes – more gear per extraction, less forced selling
That's the difference between an account that can enter endgame content and one that's actually equipped to play it.
Traxus at Rank 12 – Weapon Mods and Armory Weapons
Traxus is the weapon mod faction. With Traxus at Rank 12, the full mod rotation and every weapon unlock below are available – no tree-gating, no partial progress required. From the earliest ranks it puts rotating Enhanced SMG, AR, volt, and precision mods into your Armory rotation. Enhanced Chips at Rank 5 add chip mods that work across every weapon type – one of the more overlooked nodes since chips apply regardless of which weapon you're using.
Real value in Traxus is direct weapon access. Key unlocks by rank:
- Rank 8 – V66 Lookout for Armory purchase (volt precision rifle, no longer a drop dependency)
- Rank 9 – Longshot Sniper Rifle (one of the only consistent sniper sources in the game outside world drops)
- Rank 10 – Enhanced Bully SMG (one of the stronger SMGs; Armory access means a reliable copy before every run)
- Rank 12 – Enhanced Hardline PR
TAD Boost at Rank 4 adds 20m to your ping area – small node, useful in coordinated play where you're calling out enemy positions across a zone.
NuCaloric at Rank 12 – Free Consumables and Status Resistance
NuCaloric is the survivability faction. At Rank 12 the whole tree is open – and the free consumable nodes at the bottom start paying off from the first session, every session, for the rest of the season.
Daily free consumables unlocked with rank:
- Rank 1 – Safeguard: free Shield Charges daily
- Rank 3 – Restore: free Patch Kits daily
- Rank 11 – Safeguard+: free Advanced Shield Charges daily
Once unlocked, those nodes produce free consumables every session. No credits spent on basic survival upkeep.
Beyond free daily consumables, NuCaloric provides passive stat boosts that carry into every run. Regen V2 and V3 add health regeneration between fights. Helping Hands V2 and V3 reduce revive times on teammates – these matter more than most players expect until the moment they're watching a squadmate bleed out three seconds too slow. Status resistance builds through Reinforce.exe (Frost, Immobilize, Overheat, Toxin) at Rank 6 and Unfazed.exe (EMP and Hack) at Rank 7.
For healing and shields, Advanced Shields and Advanced Patch Kits are both available for Armory purchase, and Shield Stock at Rank 12 adds 5 more Advanced Shield Charges to Armory stock.
MIDA at Rank 12 – Grenades, Agility, and Anti-Virus Packs
MIDA has the widest consumable selection of any faction and the only guaranteed source of Anti-Virus Packs. That second point matters more than anything else in that tree for Cryo Archive players – virus buildup on that map is unavoidable, and relying on random AV pickups mid-run isn't a real plan.
Early ranks (1–4) cover space control and pressure options – Claymores, Heat Grenades, and Frag Grenades. Claymores hold chokepoints during extractions, Heat Grenades force Overheat and shut down sprinting and ability use, Frags clear UESC clusters or flush Runners from cover.
Most important unlock sits at Rank 5: Anti-Virus Packs. Finding AV packs mid-run in Cryo Archive is unreliable. Having them Armory-purchasable before you enter is the difference between a controlled run and a failure.
Ranks 8–12 fill out the offensive toolkit and utility stack:
- Rank 8 – Flechette Grenades (directional burst, punishes close-range pushes)
- Rank 10 – Trap Packs (locks down rooms while you work contracts)
- Rank 11 – Chem Grenades (poison damage over time, punishes position-holders)
- Rank 12 – EMP Grenades via Lights Out (disables electronics, applies Hack to other Runners)
Movement nodes are another major MIDA value. Flex_Matrix.EXE at Rank 3 gives 20 Agility, stacking to 40 at Rank 11. At 40 total Agility, movement difference compared to players who never ranked MIDA is noticeable in sprints, jumps, and chase situations. Bionic Leg Upgrades V2 and V3 add on top through Sprinter nodes.
Proximity Sensor at Rank 9 gives early warning for incoming Runners or UESC patrols – useful for contracts that require staying in one spot. Ammo Crates at Rank 8 provide guaranteed ammo replenishment without hunting for drops mid-run.
SekGen at Rank 12 – Shell Cores and Ability Uptime
SekGen determines what cores you can buy for your shell. Without SekGen rank, shell options are limited to base configurations. At Rank 12, every shell in the game has Enhanced and Deluxe Cores purchasable from Armory.
- Enhanced Cores unlocked at Rank 3 (2 per shell): Triage, Destroyer, Assassin, Vandal, Recon, Thief
- Deluxe Cores unlocked at Rank 10 (2 per shell): Triage, Destroyer, Assassin, Vandal, Recon, Thief
Beyond cores, ability-uptime nodes are worth noting regardless of which shell you run. TAC_AMP.EXE at Rank 2 gives +30 Tactical Recovery, reducing cooldowns on tactical and trait abilities. HEAD_START at Rank 4 partially fills your tactical charge before a run starts – you deploy with ability energy instead of waiting to build it from scratch. For shells like Triage or Destroyer where tactical timing matters, this is relevant from the first run after unlocking.
Free Energy Amps at Rank 10 cut the per-run credit cost for energy boosts. Energy Harvesting V3 and Augmented Capacitors V3 at Ranks 9 and 11 improve energy collection and storage for builds that rely on frequent ability use.
CyberAcme at Rank 12 – Vault, Wallet Cap, and Economy
CyberAcme is the economy and logistics faction. Its upgrades don't give you a weapon or a grenade – they make every other system in the game work better.
Credit wallet cap by rank:
- Rank 4 adds 20K capacity
- Rank 8 adds 50K
- Rank 12 adds 200K
That's 270K above the default cap. Without it, runs that generate strong credit value hit the ceiling and waste everything above it. With Credit Limit 3 purchased, Armory spending and faction node investment don't require constant manual cash-out runs.
Vault expansion by rank:
- Rank 3 – 8 additional rows
- Rank 7 – 8 additional rows
- Rank 12 – 6 additional rows
22 total added rows. More vault space means more gear carried between sessions instead of force-selling runs dry.
Enhanced Weaponry at Rank 4 adds Enhanced Overrun AR, V11 Punch, and CE Tactical Sidearm directly to Armory. Informant.exe at Rank 2 raises data card credit value by 50% – passive income on every extraction that includes one. Carrier at Rank 5 unlocks Enhanced Backpacks for bigger hauls per run.
Arachne at Rank 12 – Railgun, Shotgun, and Melee
Arachne gives the best early weapon access of any faction. ARES RG railgun is available at Rank 2 – 750 credits and a small amount of gel. Players who skip Arachne because of the melee framing miss that it has three solid weapons in Armory tree and a full mod selection.
Weapons by rank:
- Rank 2 – ARES RG Railgun
- Rank 7 – WSTR Combat Shotgun
- Rank 10 – Enhanced Retaliator LMG
Mod access alongside them: LMG mods from Rank 1, Shotgun mods at Rank 3, Railgun mods at Rank 4 – all rotating Enhanced mods adding to your Armory rotation.
Arachne also has a full melee tree for players who build around it. Hard Strike.EXE T1 at Rank 5 gives Melee Damage +20. Cutthroat.EXE T1 at Rank 6 adds Finisher Siphon +20 – shields recharge on finishers. Reboot.EXE T1 at Rank 7 boosts Revive Speed +20 for both self-revives and crew revives. Hurting Hands and Knife Fight both have V2 and V3 implant upgrades available across Ranks 1–11.
What This Starter Bundle Sets Up in One Order
Six factions at Rank 12, Season Level 25, 30K credits – a complete account ready for everything Marathon's endgame has. Cryo Archive, Ranked, Armory access – all of it opens at once. Most players build toward this across weeks of play. This bundle skips that and puts you at the point where the real game starts.

Why Choose LevelUpper for Marathon Starter Bundle
- Season Level 25, all 6 factions at Rank 12, and 30K credits – one order. No separate level service, no separate faction grind, no second order to finish what the first left half-done.
- Your account comes out equipped, not just technically unlocked. Rank 12 is Longshot Sniper Rifle and Bully SMG in the Armory, Anti-Virus Packs available before you enter Cryo Archive, shell cores purchasable for every shell, free daily consumables across the board. That's a different account from one that only cleared the entry gates.

FAQ
How will my account look after Starter Bundle is done?
After LevelUpper team completes your order, you come back to Season Level 25, all 6 factions at Rank 12, and 30K credits. Cryo Archive and Ranked are both unlocked. All weapons, mods, and materials extracted during the runs stay on your account.
What does level 25 unlock in Marathon?
Level 25 unlocks Cryo Archive and Ranked. Cryo Archive also requires all 6 faction liaisons connected and a 5000 credit loadout value per run. Ranked has the same level gate. Starter Package covers all of it.
How do you level up fast in Marathon?
One active contract at a time means bad rerolls kill pacing fast. Contracts that share zone objectives and extraction paths generate the most XP per run. Most players stalling before Level 25 aren't losing fights – they're losing time to contract routing friction and reroll credit costs.
How long does Marathon Starter Package take?
Depends on starting level and how many factions are already connected and ranked. Getting from Level 1 to Level 25 with all 6 factions at Rank 12 takes multiple extended sessions. Priority moves your starter bundle to the front of the queue and gets it started faster.
Can I jump straight into Ranked when the order is done?
Yes. Ranked requires Season Level 25, and starter pack reaches that. Your first session can start right after.
How will my vault look after Starter Bundle?
Everything extracted during leveling stays on your account – weapons, mods, implants, materials, and valuables. Exact gear depends on what drops. You'll have 30K credits on top of that.
Can I buy Starter Package if I'm already partway through?
Yes. Starting level and faction status are checked before anything begins and we pick up from where you are. Already Level 20 with three factions at Rank 8? Bundle covers the remaining gap only.
Does Starter Pack include Cryo Archive runs?
No. Starter pack gets your account to the point where Cryo Archive is unlocked – Level 25, all factions connected and at Rank 12. Cryo Archive runs and Compiler boss fight are separate services. Our Cryo Archive Boost covers weekly contracts, and Compiler Kill covers Vault 7 access and boss fight.
What can I do after Starter Bundle?
Cryo Archive opens on weekends with a 5000 credit loadout requirement – gear extracted during order completion covers that. Ranked is available immediately. All 6 faction trees are at their season cap. Every carry service on the site is accessible: Cryo Archive contracts, Compiler Kill, Ranked carries, Lockdown, and Pinwheel.
