What Is Outpost in Marathon?

Outpost is one of three deployment zones in Marathon, alongside Perimeter and Dire Marsh. It unlocks at Level 12 and features five regions: Airfield, Dormitories, Pinwheel, Processing, and one redacted region.

Outpost hosts Prestige-tier loot and is central to Graverobber challenges(Prestige Locked Rooms, key templates, high-value extractions). Outpost Codex section breaks into three parts: Orientation (completion and 25 exfiltrations), Exploration (25 containers per region – 125 total), and Collectibles (ten zone-specific lore sets).

Completing all Outpost collectibles also counts toward Archivist title progress through Outpost Intel challenge.

How to Complete Outpost Exploration

Outpost has five regions (125 containers) and the most collectible sets of any zone – ten. Orientation requires 25 successful exfiltrations. Collectibles spawn semi-randomly; full completion takes many deployments with optimized routes.

Full Outpost completion contributes directly to Archivist title progress. Outpost Intel is one of 8 Archivist sub-challenges.
