Details of Perimeter Exploration Service
What Is Perimeter in Marathon?
Perimeter is one of three deployment zones in Marathon, alongside Dire Marsh and Outpost. It's the first zone players encounter and features five distinct regions: Hauler, North Relay, South Relay, Overflow, and Station. Each region contains containers, collectibles, and loot spawns that feed into Codex exploration system.
Perimeter Codex section breaks into three parts: Orientation (basic completion and exfiltration milestones), Exploration (opening containers across all five regions), and Collectibles (finding specific lore items throughout the zone). Completing all Perimeter collectibles also counts toward Archivist title progress through Perimeter Intel challenge.
Perimeter Collectible Sets
Eight collectible types spawn across Perimeter. Each set has 4–6 items that appear in fixed locations during different deployments:
- Grievance Log Record (4 total) – Employee complaint records from Perimeter facility staff.
- Shrink-Wrapped Bonsai Tree (4 total) – Decorative items left behind in residential sections.
- Proprietary Asset (4 total) – Corporate property tagged for retrieval.
- Survey Drone Cartridge (5 total) – Data cartridges from autonomous survey drones.
- B. Strauss On AI (5 total) – Written material about artificial intelligence philosophy.
- Drinkable Cheeseburger (5 total) – Novelty food product found in supply areas.
- Evidence Folder (6 total) – Investigation files scattered across the zone. Largest set.
- Personal Log: Kuzmin, I. (4 total) – Audio and text logs from an individual named Kuzmin.
How to Complete Perimeter Exploration
Perimeter exploration breaks into three separate grind layers, each taking more time than players expect:
- Orientation requires 25 successful exfiltrations from Perimeter. Not 25 runs – 25 extractions. Every failed run doesn't count. At a realistic extraction rate, that means 35–50 deployments.
- Region Exploration needs 25 containers opened in each of the five regions – 125 containers total. Region boundaries overlap in confusing ways on the map, and some containers sit in corners most players never visit during normal loot runs. Hauler and Overflow have the most spread-out container placements. You can open dozens of containers and have them count toward the wrong region if you're not tracking boundaries carefully.
- Collectibles spawn semi-randomly across deployments. Even when you know every possible location, a specific collectible might not appear for several runs in a row. Evidence Folder with 6 items and Survey Drone Cartridge with 5 items are the longest sets to complete because of spawn distribution. Running through all known spawn points each deployment is the only way to finish without burning dozens of extra hours.
Full Perimeter completion contributes directly to Archivist title progress. Perimeter Intel is one of 8 Archivist sub-challenges, so this work feeds into a larger Codex goal.

FAQ
How long does Perimeter Exploration boost take?
Completion time depends on selected options β full zone clearance requires at minimum 25 exfiltrations plus additional runs for collectibles and containers. Collectible spawn RNG is the main time variable. Selecting specific options (Orientation only, or individual regions) finishes faster.
Do Perimeter collectibles spawn every run?
No. Collectibles appear semi-randomly across different deployments. Some spawns show up more often than others. Our runners check all known spawn locations each run to minimize wasted deployments.
Does Perimeter exploration progress carry between seasons?
Codex exploration progress is permanent. Completed collectible sets, region explorations, and orientation milestones stay done on your account through every future season.
What is Active Trespasser background?
Active Trespasser is a Deluxe Profile Background earned exclusively by completing all five Perimeter exploration regions (125 containers total). It cannot be purchased through the store or earned any other way.
Does Perimeter completion help with Archivist title?
Yes. Perimeter Intel is one of 8 Archivist sub-challenges. Completing Perimeter collectible challenges feeds directly into Archivist title progress. Full Archivist title also needs Dire Marsh and Outpost completion plus faction contract intel.
Is Perimeter boost safe for my account?
Our runner plays on your account using standard gameplay β normal deployments, normal extractions. No exploits or third-party tools. VPN matching your region is used for login security.
