Details of Archivist Title Boost Service

What Is the Archivist Title

ARCHIVIST is a Superior Profile Title earned by completing 8 Intel challenge sections in Marathon's Codex. Unlike Graverobber (loot mechanics) or Zonewarden (PvP kills), Archivist is entirely about lore recovery and faction work. Four sections track collectible items extracted from specific zones; four track completion of corporation Priority Contract chains.

The title became harder to earn after Patch 1.0.5 added Cryo Archive Intel as the eighth required section. Before that update, the slot showed as [REDACTED] in the Codex. Now unlocking ARCHIVIST requires at least one weekend of Cryo Archive access with a full squad.

All Archivist Title Challenges

Zone Collectible Intel Challenges

These require finding specific lore items scattered across a map and extracting with them. Collectibles can appear in lockboxes, Prestige locked rooms, on high-tier UESC Commanders, or lying around the environment with no indicator. Spawns are RNG-based – no fixed locations. Each collectible type requires 4–6 successful extractions to complete its individual challenge.

  1. Perimeter Intel → reward: EXODUS SUNSET Deluxe Weapon Style (Outland sniper) Seven collectible challenges. Items: Grievance Log Records, Shrink-Wrapped Bonsai Trees, Proprietary Assets, Survey Drone Cartridges, B. Strauss on AI, Drinkable Cheeseburgers, Evidence Folders.
  2. Dire Marsh Intel → reward: PAST SCRAPER Deluxe Weapon Style (Copperhead RF) Seven collectible challenges. Items: Class B Anomalous Materials, Premium Tick Milk, History for Young Readers, Biosynthetic Pet Prototypes, Anchorite Provisions, Cerebral Records, Emotional Support Plushies.
  3. Outpost Intel → reward: MIDNIGHT DOC Deluxe Weapon Style (ARES RG) Seven collectible challenges. Items: Personal Log: General Reed, The Severed Twins, Confiscated Colonial Folklore, Welcome Packages, Colony Security Reports, Xenobiopsies, Surveillance Recordings.
  4. Cryo Archive Intel – Seven collectible challenges inside Cryo Archive. No separate weapon style reward; this section feeds the ARCHIVIST meta directly. Items: Expedition Manifests, UESC Marathon Models, Cryoprotectant, UESC Tactical Records, Compiler Traces, Bernard Strauss's Journal entries, Unknown Reveries.

Cryo Archive only runs Thursday 10 AM – Sunday 10 AM PT each week. Entry requires a full three-person squad, Season Level 25, all six factions connected, and a minimum 5000-credit loadout. Inside the map, Security Clearance Level 3 is required for exfiltration.

Faction Contract Intel Challenges

These track completion of Priority Contract chains for each corporation. Each contract stage counts as one of the seven challenge slots in that section's Intel. No separate weapon style rewards – contract Intel progress feeds the ARCHIVIST meta only.

  1. NuCaloric Intel – Priority Contracts: Survival Directive [1/1] → Data Reconstruction [1/3, 2/3, 3/3]
  2. Traxus Intel – Priority Contracts: Cutthroat Competition [1/1] → Equitable Distribution [1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4]
  3. MIDA Intel – Priority Contracts: Order/Chaos → Protect/Destroy [1/5, 2/5, 3/5, 4/5, 5/5]. MIDA has the longest chain at six stages.
  4. Sekiguchi Intel – Priority Contracts: Baseline Calibration and subsequent contract chain stages.

Marathon Intel Challenges: Biggest Time Waste

Each collectible type in a zone has a required extraction count between 4 and 6. Finding a Drinkable Cheeseburger or an Evidence Folder once doesn't complete the challenge – you need that many successful extractions total. Die before exfil and the item is lost; that run contributes nothing to your counter.

Prestige locked rooms have a high likelihood of containing at least one collectible per room. UESC Commanders with purple or higher shields sometimes drop them. The longer you stay in a match, the higher the loot tier of containers that remain available. The Thief shell's Pickpocket Drone can ping rarer loot before you commit to opening a room.

Some players have reported running 15–20 sessions in Perimeter before completing a single collectible type. Others finish faster. The variance is real and is the main reason Archivist has a reputation as Marathon's grindiest Codex title.

How Marathon Archivist Title Boost Works

  1. Purchase and specify which Intel sections you need
  2. Share login credentials in the order chat
  3. Our booster runs the required sessions – collectible runs per zone, contract completions per faction, Cryo Archive sessions during weekend windows
  4. Each Intel section's challenge counter advances per successful extraction or contract completion
  5. ARCHIVIST title unlocks automatically when all 8 sections complete

Cryo Archive sessions are coordinated around the Thursday–Sunday access window. We'll confirm scheduling in order chat or on Discord.

Why Choose LevelUpper for Archivist Title

  • Boosters who've played these maps: They know which locked rooms and commanders regularly produce collectibles in Perimeter, Dire Marsh, and Outpost. Sessions don't burn time looting empty containers when the right rooms are on the other side of the zone.
  • Cryo Archive team ready: We have players running Cryo Archive every weekend with a full squad available. Tillingdog left a note after their Cryo order: "Took out 3 squads and almost got lost, but overall made a huge profit on loot (Cryo)." – see all reviews
  • All contract chains done before: Our boosters have completed NuCaloric, Traxus, MIDA, and Sekiguchi Priority Contracts in full. Hodinz noted in their review: "Traxus, NuCaloric, Arachne" – same factions, completed. They know the stages.
  • You pay for what's left: Intel Selection means if you're at 5/7 on Perimeter Intel, we finish the last two and move on. No sessions spent re-grinding progress that's already on your account.

FAQ

What is Perimeter Intel?

Perimeter Intel is one of four zone collectible challenge sections in the Archivist title. It tracks extraction of seven specific lore items from Perimeter – Grievance Log Records, Shrink-Wrapped Bonsai Trees, Proprietary Assets, Survey Drone Cartridges, B. Strauss on AI, Drinkable Cheeseburgers, and Evidence Folders. Each type needs 4–6 successful extractions. Completing all seven unlocks EXODUS SUNSET, the Deluxe Weapon Style for the Outland sniper.

What is Dire Marsh Intel?

Dire Marsh Intel tracks extraction of seven collectible types from Dire Marsh – Class B Anomalous Materials, Premium Tick Milk, History for Young Readers, Biosynthetic Pet Prototypes, Anchorite Provisions, Cerebral Records, and Emotional Support Plushies. Each type needs 4–6 successful extractions to count. Completing Dire Marsh Intel unlocks PAST SCRAPER, the Deluxe Weapon Style for the Copperhead RF.

What is Outpost Intel?

Outpost Intel requires extracting seven lore collectible types from Outpost – Personal Log: General Reed, The Severed Twins, Confiscated Colonial Folklore, Welcome Packages, Colony Security Reports, Xenobiopsies, and Surveillance Recordings. Completing all seven unlocks MIDNIGHT DOC, the Deluxe Weapon Style for the ARES RG railgun.

What is Cryo Archive Intel?

Cryo Archive Intel is the eighth Archivist challenge section, added in Patch 1.0.5. It requires extracting collectibles from Cryo Archive during weekend sessions – items include Expedition Manifests, Compiler Traces, and Bernard Strauss's Journal entries. Cryo Archive is only accessible Thursday 10 AM – Sunday 10 AM PT, requires Season Level 25, a full squad of three, and a 5000-credit minimum loadout to enter. Cryo Archive Intel has no separate weapon style reward; it's the final section needed to complete the ARCHIVIST title.

How many challenges are in the Archivist title?

Eight Intel sections, each with 7 individual challenges, plus the ARCHIVIST meta challenge that unlocks when all 8 sections are done. The Codex sidebar shows it as 0/9 because it counts the 8 sub-sections and the meta together.

What weapon skins does the Archivist title give?

Three Deluxe Weapon Styles: EXODUS SUNSET for the Outland sniper, PAST SCRAPER for the Copperhead RF, and MIDNIGHT DOC for the ARES RG. These come from completing Perimeter, Dire Marsh, and Outpost Intel respectively. Cryo Archive Intel and the four faction contract sections don't add extra weapon styles – they're required to unlock the ARCHIVIST title itself.

Do I need Cryo Archive access for the Archivist title?

As of Patch 1.0.5, Cryo Archive Intel replaced the previously [REDACTED] slot and is the eighth required challenge section. Access requires Season Level 25, all six factions connected, a full squad of three, a 5000-credit minimum loadout, and a Thursday–Sunday time window.

What are the contract Intel challenges?

Each contract Intel section tracks completion of that corporation's Priority Contract chain. NuCaloric has four stages (Survival Directive + Data Reconstruction 1–3). Traxus has five (Cutthroat Competition + Equitable Distribution 1–4). MIDA has six stages (Order/Chaos + Protect/Destroy 1–5). Sekiguchi starts with Baseline Calibration and continues from there.

How do collectible challenges work?

Find a specific lore item during a run and extract with it. No fixed spawn locations – collectibles appear in lockboxes, Prestige rooms, on UESC Commanders, and randomly around the environment. Each collectible type requires 4–6 successful extractions to complete its individual challenge. If you die before exfil, the item is lost for that run.

Can I buy only specific Intel sections?

The Intel Selection add-on lets you choose only the sections still missing. If you've already completed Perimeter and NuCaloric Intel, we cover just the remaining six. Each section is selectable separately.

Does Archivist progress carry over between seasons?

All Codex challenge progress, including every Intel counter, persists across seasons. The ARCHIVIST title and associated weapon styles stay on your account once earned.

How long does the Archivist boost take?

Depends on which sections remain and current RNG on collectible spawns. Cryo Archive Intel is limited to weekend windows. Contact us via order chat or Discord with your current challenge progress and we'll give you a realistic estimate.
