In practice, if you spray down one red-bar enemy in a pack, that enemy will explode (via volatile) and damage others – priming them also to explode. This perk alone gives The Title wave-clearing power on par with some heavy weapons. Now add Repulsor Brace in the other column, and you have an incredible synergy: Repulsor Brace grants you a Void Overshield whenever you kill an enemy afflicted by a Void debuff (like volatile). So, with Destabilizing Rounds spreading volatile and Repulsor Brace giving overshields on volatile kills, The Title turns you into a nigh-unstoppable Void warrior – every kill makes nearby foes explode and immediately rewards you with an overshield. Guardians running overshield-centric Void Titan builds or Void Warlocks with Devour particularly love this, as it layers on extra survivability.

With Hammer-Forged Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, and Rangefinder, The Title can push out to impressive ranges for a 750 RPM SMG, catching opponents off-guard in Crucible when you challenge just a bit further out than most expect. Another star PvE perk it gained is Destabilizing Rounds, as mentioned, and Repulsor Brace – both synergize with Void subclass. Notably, it also can get Grave Robber, which, combined with Swashbuckler, could make a fun melee combo build.

It's still an SMG, which is optimal within ~15-20 meters but can push a tad beyond. Its stability can be tuned to be very comfy, granting consistency. That said, popular SMGs like Multimach, Ikelos SMG v1.0.3 (Arc SMG with Voltshot), or Shayura's Wrath (Aggressive Void SMG from Trials) might outshine The Title due to slightly better stats or scopes. But suppose you have a fondness for it. In that case, The Title will reward skill – hitting your headshots will shred opponents, and you can surprise them with the overshield from Repulsor Brace. It's also an incredible feeling to get a kill and see a Void overshield pop over you in Crucible, giving you confidence to push the next gunfight.

To obtain The Title, players needed to deposit Medallions during Guardian Games. For example, every few medals deposited, you might get a drop. It was free for all players, as Guardian Games is a free event. You likely saw The Title drop multiple times if you participated in activities across the game while the event was live. It is not craftable, so grinding for a good roll during the event was the only way to get its ideal version.
