Marathon C.A.R.R.I. System Guide

The CyberAcme Runner Reinforcement Initiative, or C.A.R.R.I., is a Season 1: DEATH IS THE FIRST STEP system in Marathon that was added with update 1.0.6. It introduces CyberAcme Commendations, a new material earned through contract participation and successful extractions. These commendations can be spent in the C.A.R.R.I. Armory through the CyAc tab.

How to earn CyberAcme Commendations

CyberAcme Commendations are awarded in several ways depending on how you enter a run.

When playing in a crew, players earn commendations by helping crewmates complete contract objectives. When playing solo, players earn commendations by completing individual contract objectives. Solo Runners and Rooks also earn commendations for a successful solo exfil.

Additional commendations can be earned by exfilling with players outside your own Crew. This bonus applies to solo players and Rooks, whether they leave with another solo player, a Runner, or a full crew.

There is also an Enhanced rarity trinket that can drop in all zones and grants commendations whenever you extract with it. Earned commendations are sent directly to the Vault on extraction and can stack up to 100.

C.A.R.R.I. Armory rewards

CyberAcme Commendations are spent in the C.A.R.R.I. Armory. The Armory includes Salvage Crates, which grant random stacks of Salvage items, and Reputation Packs, which provide reputation for their associated faction. It also includes other rewards such as weapons and Sponsored Kits.

Salvage Crates and Sponsored Kits refresh daily. Other C.A.R.R.I. offers do not refresh and can only be purchased once.

Need Help Getting Superior or Prestige Salvage?

The C.A.R.R.I. system provides access to basic Salvage and Reputation Packs through the Armory, but it does not provide consistent access to Superior Salvage and does not provide Prestige Salvage at all.

Both purple and yellow Salvage is primarily obtained through:

• Locked rooms
• Cryo Archive Vaults
• Compiler boss encounters
