ARC Raiders Power Rod Door (Dam Battlegrounds) — Location and Loot Breakdown

The Power Rod is an epic material in ARC Raiders. On Dam Battlegrounds, it can be used to open a single locked door inside the Power Generation Complex, acting as a one-use key substitute. Instead of a keycard, the door consumes a Power Rod to unlock.

Once the door is opened, the Power Rod is permanently consumed.

Before anything else:

• Always place the Power Rod in your Safe Pocket

• The locked door is marked with red indicator lights

• Close the door after entering if you don’t want to get pushed

How to Get a Power Rod

Power Rods matter for Tribute to Toledo (Celeste’s quest), and they’re also used for crafting items like Heavy Shields and the Snap Hook.

You can get a Power Rod in three main ways:

Find it in Dam Battlegrounds

A strong place to look is Power Generation Complex / Generator Hall on Dam Battlegrounds. Specifically, breach-and-search electrical cabinets are the most common spot.

Craft it

If your Refiner is upgraded enough to allow crafting, a Power Rod takes 2 Advanced Electrical Components and 2 Arc Circuitry.

Recycle one

You can recycle certain high-end items into a Power Rod, but for most players that’s an expensive trade just to open this door.

Night Raids

If you’re going to spend a one-use item like this, Night is the correct timing:

• Power Rods are easier to justify when loot rolls are stronger
• The door is quick to hit, so it’s a great “add-on” stop during a Night route

Night runs also mean more players are carrying valuable stuff, so keys and rare items tend to change hands more often.

Quest Connection: Tribute to Toledo

The Power Rod is also required for Tribute to Toledo, a progression quest given by Celeste.

For that quest, you only need to acquire a Power Rod and deliver it — opening the Dam Battlegrounds door is not required.

If you plan to complete the quest, make sure you do not spend your Power Rod on the door first, or you’ll need to obtain another one.

Where the Power Rod Door Is Used

Area: Power Generation Complex

You’ll use the Power Rod at Power Generation Complex on Dam Battlegrounds. The locked door is inside the complex, in the east-side control-room area.

Quick pathing notes (clean and simple):

• Head to Power Generation Complex

• Get into the east-side control room

• Look for the locked door with red lights

• Slot the Power Rod, enter, and close the door

The door is pretty close to cabinets that can contain Power Rods, so it’s possible to find the rod and use it in the same run.

What You Get Inside

Inside is a compact, enclosed loot room — quick to clear, easy to “in-and-out” if you’re already in the complex.

What you’ll usually see: meds and healing items, grenades/utility, ammo, and general materials — plus the occasional weapon roll.

Final Thoughts & Ranking

This is a route-compatible utility door.

It’s worth using when:

• You’re already passing Power Generation Complex

• You’re running Night and want quick “free value” on top of your route

• You either already have a Power Rod, or you’re checking cabinets hoping to find one

It is not a door you build an entire run around, but it provides reliable upside for minimal extra risk.

Tier Placement

Functionally, this behaves like a Tier B option — fast, consistent value in a small interior, with limited upside compared to larger locked rooms.
