ARC Raiders Where to find Candleberries

Candleberries are a seasonal resource in ARC Raiders, introduced with the Flickering Flames winter event during the Cold Snap update. They are required to complete the event’s five-stage community project and unlock several limited-time rewards.

Unlike standard crafting materials, Candleberries only spawn under specific map conditions and in clearly defined terrain types. Knowing those rules saves hours of wasted raids. Effective Candleberry routes naturally chain short outdoor pushes between buildings instead of long open runs.

Candleberries are only part of the project. Each stage also requires common crafting items found in buildings, containers, and vehicles.

Examples include:

• Utility components

These materials can be collected during any raid on any map, so the most efficient approach is to stockpile them between Cold Snap sessions.

Where Candleberries Spawn

Candleberries are a winter resource tied directly to the Flickering Flames event. In lore terms, they’re used by Speranza’s underground community for heat, light, food, and basic survival during the Rust Belt winter. In gameplay terms, they are the core progression item for the event project.

Completing all Flickering Flames stages requires 260 Candleberries total, alongside a set of common crafting materials. The event reward track alone never supplies the full amount, which means Cold Snap farming is mandatory if you want full completion.

The Flickering Flames project consists of five stages, requiring 260 Candleberries total:

• Stage 1: 20

• Stage 2: 50

• Stage 3: 60

• Stage 4: 60

• Stage 5: 70

You can earn up to roughly 180 Candleberries from the event reward track. The remaining amount must come from Cold Snap raids.

Candleberries only spawn on maps that currently have the Cold Snap modifier active.

If Cold Snap is not listed as the active map condition when you queue, Candleberries do not exist in that raid. Vegetation, bushes, and trees will not produce them without the modifier.

When Cold Snap is active, Candleberries spawn as bright red bushes in vegetation areas:

• grassy zones

• tree clusters

• overgrown courtyards

• green corridors between POIs

Concrete interiors, dense industrial complexes, and fully urban sections do not spawn Candleberries.

Each Candleberry bush drops exactly one Candleberry and despawns permanently once picked. Bushes never respawn during a raid.

Fruit Baskets

During Flickering Flames, fruit baskets can also spawn in vegetation-heavy areas.

Fruit baskets are the most efficient Candleberry source because:

• a single basket can contain up to five Candleberries

• baskets often appear near walls, corners, or structures inside green zones

• one basket replaces multiple bush pickups instantly

Candleberry Spawn Maps

Candleberries can spawn on multiple maps during Cold Snap, but density varies heavily.

Trying to clear the entire map in one raid wastes time. Candleberries don’t respawn mid-raid, and other players strip vegetation zones quickly.

The efficient loop looks like this:

1. Farm near your spawn

2. Check for fruit baskets first

3. Clear nearby bushes

4. Extract early

5. Re-queue for fresh spawns

Short, repeatable raids outperform long wandering runs. Fresh maps beat empty terrain.

Dam Battlegrounds (Best Overall)

Dam Battlegrounds consistently offers the highest Candleberry returns.

Hydroponic Dome Complex
Located on the north side of the map. Candleberries spawn around the domes and agricultural structures, with indoor areas nearby that help manage Cold Snap exposure. This area also provides high-value loot alongside berries.

Scrapyard / Wreckage Area
The strongest Candleberry farming zone on the map. High bush density, frequent fruit baskets, and relatively low player traffic make this the most reliable spot for repeated runs.

Red Lakes
Vegetation around frozen lakes in the southeast. Bushes are easy to spot near trees, player traffic stays lower, and multiple extraction points sit nearby.

Blue Gate

Candleberries spawn in vegetation pockets rather than large zones. Look for:

• tree clusters near map edges

• green corridors between major POIs

• overgrown areas away from main buildings

Spaceport

Spaceport relies on scattered nature regions:

• patches of vegetation near outer walkways

• green zones between industrial sections

• small clusters rather than long routes

Buried City

Buried City favors edge routing:

• overgrown connectors

• vegetation near collapsed structures

• tree lines away from central POIs

Final Notes

Most wasted time comes from:

• queuing maps without Cold Snap active

• searching industrial zones with no vegetation

• staying too long in cleared areas

• ignoring fruit baskets

• carrying large hauls without extracting

Fixing these alone dramatically improves efficiency. For players short on time though, the grind itself is often the bottleneck.
