Wulfgard is a 5★ Caster in Arknights Endfield built for one job: feed Heat Infliction and force Combustion so your Fire team can actually start doing its “real” rotation. His personal damage exists, but his main value is utility: stacking, triggering, and consuming Arts Reactions at the right moment so your carry gets a clean window.
If you are comparing Wulfgard to other operators or trying to understand where he stands in the broader meta, this article is written to slot directly into our Arknights Endfield Tier List, where all characters are evaluated under the same conditions and assumptions.

Analysis & Verdict
Wulfgard’s kit is a loop built around Arts Reactions. Thermite Tracers either applies Heat Infliction on the final shot, or—if the target is already in Combustion or Electrification—consumes that Arts Reaction to fire an extra heavy hit. That means his best “battle skill value” happens when your team is already producing reactions on schedule.
Frag Grenade • ß makes him easy to slot into Fire teams because the trigger is broad: it activates when an Arts Infliction is applied to an enemy. In a real rotation, Arts Inflictions are constantly being applied by your supports and carries. That means Wulfgard adds AoE Heat pressure without needing you to babysit his setup.
Wolven Fury forcibly applies Combustion. That matters for two reasons. First, it guarantees a reaction state for Thermite Tracers to consume on the next cycle. Second, it directly activates Scorching Fangs, giving Wulfgard a timed Heat damage boost. If you think of his kit as “I apply stacks,” you’ll miss it. He is more like “I force the reaction state, then I cash it out.”
His Potentials explain why players talk about P5 rotations. At P5, the Ultimate resets the Combo Skill cooldown, letting him chain Battle Skill → Combo Skill → Ultimate → Combo Skill in one rotation. That sequence is what lets him solo-provide multiple Heat Infliction stacks fast enough for Fire carries that require a specific threshold to unlock enhanced skills.
The limitation is straightforward: his personal AoE and raw damage ceiling are not the reason you bring him. You bring him because the team needs Heat Infliction on schedule, needs Combustion forced on demand, and wants a support that can keep the loop stable without consuming your main DPS slot.

Don’t Want to Level and Promote Wulfgard Yourself?
Wulfgard scales with Promotions and Potentials, especially for reaction consumption value, SP economy, and the P5 rotation that enables fast Heat stacking. Building him alongside multiple operators can slow down overall progression.
