Arknights: Endfield Alesh Character Build & Analysis

Alesh is a 5★ Vanguard in Arknights Endfield built around SP recovery, Cryo stack conversion into Solidification, and frequent trigger-based follow-ups. His kit is not “press button for damage.” It is “create the condition, then cash it in for tempo.”

If you are comparing Alesh to other operators or trying to understand where he stands in the broader meta, this article is written to slot directly into our Arknights Endfield Tier List, where all characters are evaluated under the same conditions and assumptions.

Analysis & Verdict

Alesh is built around a very specific loop: apply Cryo, then turn those stacks into Solidification while getting paid in SP for doing it. His Battle Skill is the cleanest example. If the target already has Cryo Infliction, Unconventional Lure consumes all stacks, forces Solidification, and restores SP based on how many stacks you just cashed in. That means the team is not only freezing the enemy — it is accelerating its next rotation at the same time.

The important limiter is written directly into the skill: the SP recovery from this conversion only triggers once, even if the slam hits multiple enemies. In practice, this makes Alesh strongest when your team is committing to one priority target. In messy multi-target rooms, the conversion can still happen, but the “SP payout” doesn’t scale with extra bodies.

Auger Angling is a trigger-based Combo Skill. It activates when the Arts Reaction or Originium Crystals of a nearby target is consumed. When the condition happens, Alesh deals Physical damage, recovers SP, and has a chance to hook a Rare Fin for a bigger spike of damage and more SP. This is why his rotations feel fluid in teams that naturally consume reactions or crystals on schedule — he is constantly getting small injections of tempo without needing to manually force it.

One Monster Catch! extends the same identity into an Ultimate: a forward AoE hit that deals Cryo damage, applies Cryo Infliction, and refunds SP on hit, with extra SP if targets die. This makes it function as both setup and sustain. You use it to seed Cryo across multiple enemies, then you immediately have tools that benefit from those stacks existing.

His talents and potentials reinforce “more casts, more often.” Flash-frozen for Freshness ties Ultimate Energy generation to Solidification and Originium Crystals being applied nearby, with an extra bonus when Alesh is the one applying Solidification. Veteran Angler increases Rare Fin chance based on Intellect, which directly increases how often Auger Angling spikes. Potential I adds a flat extra 10 SP to Unconventional Lure’s recovery, which is a big deal because it pushes the whole team’s cycle forward without needing additional conditions.

Alesh performs best when the team can reliably create Cryo stacks and then control when they are consumed. In those situations, he is not only enabling Solidification — he is making the entire rotation faster. When the team cannot keep Cryo stacks stable on the right target, his biggest payoff moments happen less often, and he becomes “just” a frequent trigger-based Vanguard instead of a conversion engine.
